GrowNYC, an integral part of New York City for over half a century, has left an indelible mark on our city's landscape. From the bustling Greenmarkets to the flourishing community gardens, from pioneering zero waste initiatives to providing invaluable educational resources, our programs have make it easy for New Yorkers of all ages to embrace healthier, more sustainable lifestyles.
This year, we are thrilled to honor Gerard Lordahl, GrowNYC’s former Director of Green Space, with our Marian Sulzberger Heiskell Award for his nearly 40 year commitment to GrowNYC, and Bloomberg with our For the Love of New York Award.
The evening will feature a beautiful seasonal, three-course plated meal curated by Chef Alex Guarnaschelli—Food Network star, cookbook author, and a devoted Greenmarket shopper—and utilize fresh, local produce sourced from GrowNYC Wholesale farmers.
